Our Goals
The Fund for Gender Self-Determination (FGS) aims to financially support trans*, inter*, and non-binary individuals (TIN persons), as well as their relatives, in legal disputes. The fund is especially helpful in asserting rights and interests when legal costs present a barrier.
The fund prioritizes legal cases that not only address individual concerns but also promote structural improvements for the TIN community.
What We Do

Successful cases can change laws and structures so that future generations don’t have to keep fighting for their rights.

Don’t Accept Injustice
Without financial support, many affected individuals give up because they can’t afford legal action. Donations ensure that it’s not only those with money who have a chance.

The fund is a solidarity project. Every contribution sends a message: we support one another!
Why Does This Fund Exist?
The Fund for Gender Self-Determination was created to support trans*, inter* and non-binary people (TIN) in asserting their rights. Many TIN people face legal hurdles—whether for name and gender marker changes, in cases of discrimination or other legal conflicts. Often they lack the financial means to go through this process alone.
The fund helps remove these barriers so that no one is prevented from asserting their rights due to financial hardship. By covering legal costs and offering supportive structures, we aim to promote equality and self-determination for all TIN individuals and take a stand against discrimination.
