We are the Fund for Gender Self-Determination – a solidarity-based support fund for trans*, inter* and non-binary (TIN) people. Our goal is to offer financial support to TIN individuals who must take legal steps to assert their rights.

Whether it’s about name and gender changes, discrimination or other legal challenges – we stand by those affected.

Where public assistance falls short or doesn’t exist, our fund steps in.

We are independent, community-led, and committed to ensuring that no one has to fight for their rights alone.

Our trustee manages the fund’s finances, ensuring donations are used responsibly. An independent advisory board made up of lawyers, academics and activists supports the trustee, evaluates applications, calculates costs, and ensures funds go where they’re most needed.

They also guide applicants through the process, answer funding questions, and help finalize cooperation agreements.

In short: The trustee is the organizational backbone of the fund, with a clear mission: support TIN people in fighting for their rights.
